Curriculum of Study
The New Hampshire Institute of Art Photography Certificate Program introduces students to the aesthetics, methods, materials, and history of photography. A series of eight required, 15-week studio courses provide students with a solid foundation in traditional and digital photography. In addition to the eight required courses, students are required to complete a minimum of 45 course hours, which may be a combination of workshops or courses, or one 15-week elective course. Elective courses allow students to explore topics of special interest. All coursework must be completed in the assigned sequence and within four years from the date of enrollment. It is recommended that students take two courses per semester to complete the program within two years. Below is the recommended sequence of required courses. Please note: Courses may be offered in both the spring or fall and may not follow the semester order indicated.
