NEW YORK TIMES BEST SELLING COMIC ILLUSTRATOR TO SPEAK AT THE NEW HAMPSHIRE INSTITUTE OF ART
01/12/2010MANCHESTER, NH - Illustrator Josh Neufeld will be giving a public presentation on his work and his New York Times best-selling illustrated reportage book, "A.D: New Orleans After the Deluge," at the New Hampshire Institute of Art on January 21, 2010 from 5:30 to 7:00 pm in the French Building Auditorium, 148 Concord Street.
Neufeld's presentation will focus on "A.D: New Orleans After the Deluge," a graphic novel of six stories about New Orleans residents and their experiences with Hurricane Katrina. He will speak about his background as an alternative cartoonist, his work with Harvey, Pekar and "American Splendor" as well as his upcoming project "On the Media," a book that will examine media's past and future and its effects on society, with NPR co-host Brooke Gladstone.
Neufeld's work has been published in The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, The New York Times, ShuttleSheet, The Progressive, Forbes, The Washington City Paper, The Austin American-Statesman, and Nickelodeon Magazine. He graduated high school from Music& Art in New York City (now LaGuardia) and earned his B.A. in Art History from Oberlin College.
