The Foundations program fosters essential experiences to begin a creative and conscientious life in art. Intensive studio classes in drawing, color theory, two- and three-dimensional design, and a sampling of materials and processes, will introduce students to many intriguing possibilities.
The hands-on experience of studio classes as well as art history and other liberal arts courses, allow students to begin to establish the shared vocabulary and grammar of art. With common language and experience, students join a uniquely supportive community among interesting and dedicated peers – an ideal environment in which to develop as an artist.
