INSTITUTE
bfa program at the
The New Hampshire Institute of Art offers a visual arts education designed to fully inspire and foster a life-long commitment and active engagement to the world of art and culture.

The Institute’s teaching philosophy positively embraces the building and development of formal skill and technique while remaining dedicated to productive experimentation, intellectual engagement, and individual expressive voice.

Anchored in a developmentally appropriate balance between technical facility and conceptual expansion, students are nurtured in a community of visual artists negotiating the artistic challenges of production and professionalism. The Institute fosters an awareness and engagement to the role and benefits of creative interaction to the community and society as a whole. The opportunities for personal growth and artistic accomplishment are extraordinary.

The courses of studio concentration offered are: Painting, Ceramics, Illustration and Photography. The Interdisciplinary course of study is a selected synthesis of the four areas of studio concentration. The Institute is moving forward with the credential application for the State of NH for the Art Education curriculum. The final approval will allow the Institute to offer K – 12 Art Education licensure to students who have successfully completed our program.
